Your Story, Your Pace, Your Care.

I founded Sakina Psychiatry to create a different kind of psychiatric practice—one not shaped by the time constraints and limitations of insurance-based care.

By stepping outside of those systems, I am able to prioritize what is often missing in modern psychiatry: time. Time to understand a patient’s history in full, to think carefully about diagnosis and treatment, and to develop a plan that reflects the individual rather than a protocol.

This is not a high-volume practice. Appointments are intentionally structured to allow for depth, continuity, and careful clinical decision-making over time.

Care may include psychotherapy, medication management, or an integrated approach, depending on what is most appropriate. Treatment is grounded in evidence-based practice and shaped by each patient’s needs, context, and goals.

A Thoughtful, Individualized Approach to Care

Care is collaborative, but not passive. My role is to bring clinical expertise, structure, and clarity to complex problems, while working closely with each patient to understand their experience and goals.

Treatment decisions are made deliberately and with a clear rationale. Whether we are discussing the nature of a symptom, the reasoning behind a diagnosis, or the role of a particular intervention, I take the time to explain my thinking so that patients can make informed decisions about their care.

I listen carefully, consider the full context, and adjust plans over time based on what is actually working. This is not a one-size-fits-all approach—it is care shaped by ongoing dialogue, clinical response, and each person's evolving needs.

About Dr. Sabri

I am a dual board-certified psychiatrist with specialized training in child, adolescent, and adult mental health. But what truly shapes my work is a commitment to understanding each person's full story.

Mental health doesn't exist in isolation. It is shaped by development, family, culture, spirituality, lived experience, and the many layers of identity that make each person who they are. I take the time to understand these dimensions—not as background information, but as essential to the work itself.

My training in psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused approaches, and developmental frameworks allows me to listen deeply and think carefully about how symptoms emerge and what they mean in the context of someone's life. I integrate mindfulness and spiritual grounding when it aligns with a patient's values, and I work collaboratively with families when that support is part of healing.

I work with children, adolescents, and adults—and with parents seeking to better understand their child's needs. My goal is not just symptom relief, but helping people move toward a deeper sense of alignment and inner peace.
